Houston Bearing began hosting fishing tournaments in 2006 as a thank you to our customers. Held in the fall, these Friday and Saturday salt water tournaments are headquartered in Sargent, Texas.

In 2009 and 2010 Houston Bearing’s Tournament was held at The Crab Trap in Sargent, Texas where they have a nice boat ramp, good food and a friendly atmosphere.

Prizes are given for the categories of redfish, trout, and flounder on Friday. Added prizes for the category of ‘other’ (which is anything except redfish, trout or flounder) is added on as a category Saturday. An additional money pot is also offered awarding prizes for the heaviest stringers of redfish and trout on Saturday. 

With the help of some of our vendors, Houston bearing provides dinner for each contestant on Friday and Saturday nights, a goodie bag, and a chance to win a door prize. The drawing for the door prize is held Saturday night; Contestants do not have to be present to win.
